Procedure for claiming Provident Fund (PF) when employee expired on duty
Deceased member- If Unmarried (Male/Female)
Father and Mother both are eligible for pension.
Documents need to be filled by the nominee’s/Legal Heirs.
- Form 20 & 10 D duly filled by every individual.
- Death Certificate (Original -Not return back by the PF office)
- Legal Heir Certificate (Photo Copy)
- 3 Passport size photograph from each (duly sign in the back side of photos) (Do not attach family group photos or big size photos )
- To open Individual bank account and enclose the front page of the passbook of Mother and Father both (Preferred banks – State Bank of India/Indian Bank/ICICI /HDFC only)
(Note: Strictly avoid other bank account particulars)
Male Deceased member- If Married
Wife and children along with Father and Mother or who has mentioned in legal heir certificate by the authorities are eligible to apply pension/claims.
- Form 20 & 10 D duly filled by every individual.
- Death Certificate (Original -Not return back by the PF office)
- Legal Heir Certificate (Photo Copy)
- 3 Passport size photograph from each (duly sign in the back side of photos) (Do not attach family group photos or big size photos )
- To open Individual bank account including children’s and enclose the front page of the passbook of all. (Preferred banks – State Bank of India/Indian Bank/ICICI /HDFC only)

(More then 18 year dependants who are not eligible to apply any claims)

Husband and children are only eligible to apply pension/claiming.
