To simplify the procedure of e-filing tax returns, department has come up with a new facility this year-this is called Pre-filled It return forms (XML).

This is a utility provided by Income tax department through which your  personal information and TDS details gets automatically filled in ITR forms. These details are-
First Name ,middle name, last name, PAN, DOB, Status,TDS,TCS.

How to use this utility- steps to follow
    Login to incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in portal
    Go to download tab & click on download prefilled XML
    Select assessment year and submit it.
    Save XML file in your PC.
    Open ITR form, on home page,click on ‘Import your personal details from XML’. Select xml file &
     import it.

After following these steps, your all details are automatically gets imported in ITR Form.

Recheck all the details so as to ensure accuracy in work.
